Jesse Estep Was High On Meth And Cocaine, Stole A Mail Truck Using Mace, Led Police On A Wild Chase, Crashed | June 9
It seems as though at least once a week we have a story of a winner from Florida who stole a vehicle while high. Today is no exception. Jesse Estep is currently facing charges after stealing a mail truck and crashing it.
According to reports the Florida man Jesse Estep approached a mail carrier outside her truck parked at Florida Health Care in Holly Hill. He pointed a canister of Mace at her and demanded the keys to the mail truck.
Estep drove out of the parking lot and eventually was pursued by police as he went onto I-95, northbound. At one point tried to swerve and hit two deputies who were on the side of the road deploying spike strips.
After a brief chase he crashed in the area of mile marker 278. He ended up on the side of the highway, where he told deputies he was high on cocaine and methamphetamine.
He was injured in the crash and taken to a local hospital for medical clearance.
Estep faces multiple charges, including grand theft auto, aggravated assault on a law enforcement officer and aggravated fleeing and eluding police.
