Terrian J Knight Attempted To Rob Dollar Store Manager, Flees From K9 Police Dog, Hides In Pool, Gets Arrested | August 4
Tampa: A St. Petersburg man is facing a federal charge after he tried to rob a Dollar Store. The man Terrian J Knight was arrested hours later.
According to reports, the incident started when an undercover ATF agent recognized Knight. The man was apparently a suspect in previous robberies. The agent observed Knight walking towards a dollar store before concealing himself in a wooded area.
Knight approached the assistant manager of a St. Petersburg Family Dollar store as the manager was leaving the store. Knight fired a shot past the man before ordering him down to the ground, the then pistol whipped the victim.
Knight shot the victim twice then fled on foot.
The ATF officer released a K9 to pursue the man. Knight saw the dog and jumped over a fence before jumping into and hiding in a retention pond.
After hiding in the pond for about seven hours, Knight was found by police taken into custody. Law enforcement recovered the firearm used in the shooting.
Terrian J Knight was arrested and is charged with grand theft of a motor vehicle, carrying a concealed firearm, felon in the possession of a firearm, attempted burglary of a dwelling, discharge of a firearm, burglary of a dwelling and grand theft.
