Robert Stalnaker Was Arrested After Selling Drugs To Undercover Cop, Police Find Variety Store Of Pills And Guns At His Home | August 31

Fort Myers: An elderly Florida Man nicknamed “Popa” was arrested after police discovered thousands of dollars of drugs. According to reports Robert “Popa” Stalnaker, 65, was arrested Wednesday after the Lee County Sheriff’s Office concluded an undercover narcotics unit investigation into drug deals.

The investigation, based on tips received by Southwest Florida Crime Stoppers, identified Stalnaker as an alleged drug dealer operating in the Palmona Park neighborhood of North Fort Myers.

The Sheriff’s Office said Stalnaker sold fentanyl to an undercover detective during the investigation.

A search warrant at Stalnaker’s home at 449 Clark St, found 6.8 grams of fentanyl, 3.8 grams of crack cocaine, 571 alprazolam pills, 115 amphetamine pills, 25 clonazepam pills, 20 suboxone pills, 18 suboxone strips, 37 hydrocodone pills, 22 hydrochloride pills, 17 oxycodone pills, four boxes of Narcan, eight firearms and about $18,000.

Robert Stalnaker was charged with the sale and possession of fentanyl, trafficking in fentanyl, trafficking in amphetamines, trafficking in hydrocodone, possession of cocaine, possession of a controlled substance, and violation of an injunction for protection by possessing firearms.

Stalnaker remained in the Lee County Jail on Friday with bail set at $182,000.
