Yaqun Lu Pulls Florida Woman-esqu Move, Stomps On Turtles And Is Charged With Molesting Them | June 17
Miami: With the exception of Shredder and the Foot Clan, most people don’t have any issues with turtles. But if there’s one thing we know about people in Florida, they’ll do some weird things. Yaqun Lu was vacationing in Florida when she came across a turtles nest on the beach.
According to reports, rather than appreciate it for what was happening, the woman began stomping on the turtle nest. Witnesses said that Yaqun Lu also grabbed a wooden stake from the perimeter that was protecting it and began stabbing at it as well.
Miami Beach police said officers and bystanders saw 41-year-old Yaqun Lu grab a wooden stake from the roped-off nesting area. She then was seen “jabbing at the sea turtle nest and stomping all over the nest with her bare feet.”
“Thankfully, it appears the eggs were not damaged,” Miami Beach police tweeted.
Lu is a citizen of China who listed an address in Michigan. She faces a felony charge of molesting marine turtles or eggs and is being held on $5,000 bond.
