Richard Clayton Is An Aspiring White Supremacist, Says He Is Getting His AR-15 Back And Not To Go To Walmart When He Does | August 12
Winter Park: Police said they’ve arrested Florida man Richard Clayton who is suspected of being a white supremacist. The man allegedly threatened to shoot up a Walmart right after a gunman killed nearly two dozen people at one of the superstores in El Paso, Texas.
Clayton allegedly posted his threat on Facebook on Aug. 4, a day after a white supremacist fatally shot at least 22 people and injured dozens more at a Walmart in El Paso.
According to investigators, the post read, “3 more days of probation left then I get my AR-15 back. Don’t go to Walmart next week.” Investigators also said the suspect “appears to believe in the white supremacist ideology and has a history of posting threats on Facebook using fictitious accounts.”
When police arrived at Clayton’s parents’ home, the suspect repeatedly asked an officer if he was Hispanic, saying “they are what is wrong with this country.
Richard Clayton was arrested on charges of making written threats last week to kill or do bodily harm.
