Reginald Green II Is Facing Jail Time After Stealing Over $100,000 From Customer At The Bank He Worked At | June 28
Orlando: And you thought that bankers were only interested in selling you products that you didn’t need. Florida man Reginald Green II is facing jail time after he was convicted of stealing over $170,000 from a customer.
According to reports, Green withdrew more funds than the SunTrust Bank customer had authorized and then put the extra funds in accounts that he controlled. The customer eventually realized that money was missing from his account and contacted the bank.
After the bank discovered the theft in April 2018, Green was fired and the customer was reimbursed. The case was investigated by the U.S. Postal Inspection Service and the U.S. Secret Service.
Green had apparently used the stolen funds to pay his mortgage and car loans. He was convicted of theft and embezzlement and is facing 23 months in federal prison.
