Kevin Bellendorf Goes On Robbery Spree, Gets Arrested After 6th Robbery In A Month | August 25
Hernando: A Florida man who deputies say is responsible for six armed robberies in just over a month was identified and arrested. Kevin Bellendorf, 47, was arrested by Sumter County Sheriff’s Office on August 8 following an investigation into two recent armed robberies there.
According to reports, police from multiple jurisdictions were investigating after a string of armed robberies. The man was arrested after police in one jurisdiction identified him after 2 recent robberies.
Kevin Bellendorf now faces charges for the following armed robberies:
May 10
- Family Dollar Store - 10620 Northcliffe Boulevard/Spring Hill/Hernando County
May 21
- Reliance Gas Station - 704 W. Main Street/Inverness/Citrus County
- Dollar General - 125 W. Belt Avenue/Bushnell/Sumter County
- Dollar General - 3449 Mariner Boulevard/Spring Hill/Hernando County
June 14
- Family Dollar - 316 N. Main Street/Bushnell/ Sumter County
- Dollar General - 3449 Mariner Boulevard/Spring Hill/Hernando County
Sumter County Sheriff’s Office says Bellendorf confessed to committing six armed robberies that ocurred across three counties: Sumter, Citrus and Hernando.
Bellendorf is currently being held at the Sumter County Detention Center. He faces additional charges from Citrus and Hernando counties once his charges in Sumter County have been resolved.
