A Florida man was arrested and told police that he was Jason Bourne
A Florida man thrown out of a Tampa-area library for being drunk was arrested after telling police his name was Jason Bourne.
The incident started when the man, Jonathan William Chapman, was thrown out of a library for causing a disturbance. According to reports, the man was allegedly intoxicated and was being a bit too loud for the typically quiet library.
Chapman was asked multiple times to leave but refused to do so.
When police arrived on scene they arrested the man who told them that his name is “Jason Bourne.” Bourne is the titular character of Robert Ludlum’s book series and was portrayed on screen by Matt Damon.
Chapman was taken into custody on a first-degree misdemeanor charge of resisting an officer without violence.
