Florida Man Arrested After Drinking And Opening Fire On A Charter Boat | June 5 Mark Bailey
What do Captain Jack Sparrow and Mark Bailey have in common? They both enjoy being on a boat under the influence of alcohol while firing weapons. Who could forget about the rum?
According to reports, Sarasota Police responded to a call of an intoxicated man chartering a boat on Sunday. Sarasota police and the U.S. Coast Guard tried locating the boat before they eventually saw the boat being backed into the docks.
Witnesses told police that Bailey drank multiple beers on the boat. Passengers told police that the man was getting high on cocaine while drinking rum from a bottle.
Mark Bailey had gotten into an argument with another passenger on the boat, grabbed him around the neck and ripped off a chain he was wearing. He then pulled out a gun and fired 6-7 shots and began driving the touring boat in circles.
Bailey refused field sobriety exercises in addition to not submitting a breathalyzer at the jail he was booked into. Bailey was charged with boating under the influence and resisting without violence and was transported to Sarasota County jail.
