Deladiel Ernesto Caminero Barricades Himself In Second Story Apartment, Attempts To Elude Police By Jumping Out Window, Gets Arrested | August 24
Miami Beach: A 35-year-old man jumped from a second-floor Miami Beach apartment window Friday morning following an hours-long standoff with Miami Beach police. Deladiel Ernesto Caminero was taken into custody when he landed outside his apartment building.
According to reports, Miami Beach police said they initially received a report of gunshots at Caminero’s building.
As officers canvassed the area, they observed multiple expended casings from what appeared to be a pistol caliber round on the front of the building near the front entrance. Officers then heard a single shot from one of the top apartments.
One of the officers kicked in the front lobby entrance door and confronted Caminero as he was coming out of his apartment. After a brief exchange, the man ran back to his apartment and locked the door.
After a brief standoff the man attempted to elude police by jumping out of his second story apartment window. He was immediately arrested when he landed on the ground.
Deladiel Ernesto Caminero was charged with possession of cocaine, discharging a firearm in public and resisting an officer without violence.
