Christina Marie Welch stole iPhone from internet cafe, gets busted when victim uses Find My iPhone app | September 20
Silver Springs: Florida woman Christina Marie Welch was arrested after a man claimed his $1,000 iPhone was stolen from an internet café. According to reports, police were called to the cafe and when they arrived the victim said he had watched video surveillance footage from inside the internet café that showed a woman pass by him.
The surveillance video didn’t show the woman take the phone, however the man said he then used the My iPhone app and saw that his phone had been turned on in the 1200 block of SE 163rd Avenue.
Sheriff’s deputies and the victim then went to Welch’s residence. He asked for his stolen phone and Welch returned it.
Christina Marie Welch was arrested and charged with larceny/grand theft. She was being held on $2,000 bond.
