Casey Cregan Was Arrested For Playing Hide And Seek With Police, Hiding In Woman’s Attic | June 25
Land O’ Lakes: The attic is the last place that people think to check when it comes to playing hide and seek. Florida man Casey Cregan was playing hide and seek with police and was arrested for breaking into a woman’s home.
According to reports Casey Cregan was arrested Friday after deputies say he took a garage door opener from a woman’s car. He then entered her home and hid in the attic for about three hours.
Deputies said the woman went to work and later found Cregan inside her home without permission. The sheriff’s office says when deputies called for Cregan to come out of the home, authorities didn’t hear a reply.
The victim got messages from Cregan saying he would leave if he could get all his belongings. When deputies told him a K-9 was coming to the home, Cregan came down from the attic, the arrest report said.
Cregan was arrested and charged with burglary of an unoccupied dwelling and resisting arrest without violence.
