Anthony Washington Was Arrested After A Routine Traffic Stop Led To The Discovery Of Bath Salts | July 1

Gainesville: What started out as a routine traffic stop turned into jail time for the driver. Florida man Anthony Washington is facing jail time after police discovered 45 grams of bath salts in his vehicle.

According to reports the man was originally pulled over when he failed to properly use a turn signal. The officer approached the window and detected the smell of marijuana. A vehicle search was conducted and police located small bags filled with a crystalline substance.

When police tested the substance they discovered that it was bath salts. Police also discovered an unlicensed, loaded handgun on the floor of the vehicle.

Anthony Washington is facing charges including possession of narcotics and carrying a concealed firearm.
