Spy Hard; Florida Man Thomas Cash Arrested After Spying On Woman He Met At Divorcee Support Group | July 6
Fort Myers: A Florida woman is now scared to go back to her home thanks to a perverted Florida man. The woman claims a man she met at a divorce support group, Thomas Cash, put listening devices in her home and stalked her, leaving her too scared to return home.
According to police, the woman said she noticed a red light blinking under a bathroom cabinet on June 15. When she looked at it closely, she discovered it was a recording device with two jacks, one pointing at her shower, the other at her bed.
The deputy reviewed the device and discovered audio files. Two weeks later, the victim called police to report seeing a man enter her home on surveillance cameras. She had also changed her locks.
On June 30, the devices recorded a man entering the home at 1:32 a.m. and 1:56 a.m. The homeowner identified the man as Cash.
She told police she met him in January 2018 during a 14-week session of group meetings for people going through divorce. She said they attended several outings together as part of a group, but were never romantic. She had not seen him since April 2019.
The woman told police that after she found the device on June 15, she moved from her home, too scared to remain there.
Thomas Cash was jailed on 12 charges, including aggravated stalking, burglary of an unoccupied dwelling, possession of burglary tools, interception and disclosure of prohibited electronic, wire or oral recording devices and installing a tracking device without the person’s permission.
